Insider-Two
Born from an oversized classic optical frame from the 40’s film noir era the second in the Insider series keeps within the original character of the first but with a futuristic twist. Inspired by the neo-futuristic concept artists of the 50s and 60s, we created a new silhouette that is designed to be lighter and more durable than the original Insider.
Engineered with an innovative new frame technique that creates blade-thin profile geometries, the entire frame is rendered in a groundbreaking stainless steel core lamination process, which is 50% thinner than traditional acetate and is more than twice as strong. This architectural design creates a unique contrast of volume and lightness evolving the Insider legacy.
Due to the level of R&D and technical acuity involved in manufacture, the stainless steel core lamination process takes three times as long to produce than the original Insider. Because of the high demands imposed by the lamination process, only limited facilities in Japan have perfected the technique.
Mach- Five
Ever since the international rise in popularity of single-seat racing in the 1950’s, the world has been captivated by pushing the limits of automotive
engineering and design.
This extension of the “Mach” series continues Dita’s passion for the world of automotive racing and vehicle
design that are built with advanced construction methods and superb materials. As the 5th iteration in the series, the Mach-Five draws inspiration from the design language of modern super-cars and the ultra-fast speed of their competitive set. These are boundary pushing vehicles that can attain speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, and maximum torque of over 1,400 Nm.
With a 6-Base Lens that sleekly conforms to your face the Mach-Five features a stunning array of gorgeous details including titanium temples and eye rims etched with Dita’s iconic diamond pattern. These highly engineered frames are designed with Dita’s signature step down lens feature with a titanium mesh nose bridge- a nod to iconic grille designs seen on the front fascia of modern super-cars. UVA and UVB blocking lenses are designed with split second decision in mind making for precise and robust eyewear to meet the most stringent demands of high performance driving. The Mach-Five’s distinct lens and architectural temple design draws unmistakably on the Mach legacy and established design that ignites the same intensity that only the finest cars, boats and planes can trigger.
Spacecraft
Drawing inspiration from the practical world of aviation and the futuristic vision of science-fiction films of the 1920’s -1940’s, Spacecraft is a hybrid frame celebrating the past, present, and future of flight and exploration. As a frame, Spacecraft is built around three fundamental concepts: hybridization, engineering, and tradition.
As man’s journey into aviation began to evolve from kites, to hydrogen balloons, to the aeroplanes we know of today, so did his imagination. By the latter part of the 20th-century advances in engine technology and aerodynamics made controlled, powered flight possible for the first time. The world awoke to the new possibility of experience never otherwise seen by the masses. “Airships” the first large scale hot air balloons such became the standard for long-distance flight revolutionizing man’s perspective of the world. At the same time these advances in technology sparked the imagination of creators and filmmakers already dreaming of worlds beyond our knowledge. Science-Fiction films burst to life on the screen offering a new kind of liberation from our present world and it’s constraints.

Arise
A chic take on a playful 60’s classic: A subtle yet whimsical Cat-Eye rendered in an ultra-light technical frame.
Starlets from the 60’s were just a starting point for the look of Arise, but the real story is in the techniques and technology involved in creating elegance of the silhouette and the innovation of materials used.
Classically Cat-Eye styled frames use thick laminate acetate or injection molded frames to create the sculptural form of the design. For a more refined and architectural approach we chose milled and sculpted titanium throughout.
The front or “face” of the frame was designed with a bolder titanium silhouette which translates the attitude and character of the style in more future-facing and refined way. While the delicate temples contrast the bold face with a lightness only achieved by using among the finest Japanese titanium. The interplay of metal-on-metal titanium combinations replace the expected acetate versions and offer extra durability, lightness, and fit + finish unusual for this category of frame.

Creature
Seductive, glamorous, and iconic. The traditional cat-eye frames are a true style catalyst synonymous with retro and nostalgia of the 1950’s and 60’s.
Prior to the 1950’s eyewear was maligned as an undesirable functional object for those with poor vision, until American celebrities and starlets throughout Hollywood brought the now iconic Cat-Eye frame from their wardrobe onto the silver screen marking a newfound acceptance of eyewear as a fashionable and expressive personal accessory.
Playing off the legacy of the cat eye “Creature” pushes this evolution one step further, shedding it’s old skin and turning the notion of the demure 50’s woman on it’s head by adopting a more aggressive, and angular form language.
“Creature” mines the influence and mise-en-scène from film noir’s moody and iconic archetypes of femmes fatales, doomed heroes and anti-heroes from cinema with the intent to move the traditional cat-eye styling from icon to iconoclast.
